The Patriot Battalion is one of three Young Marines Battalions of three units or more each, within the Grand Canyon Regiment Young Marines (State of Arizona), and consists of the Mesa Units--East Valley, Desert Devil Dogs--- the Show Low Unit, Eastern Mountains Young Marines--and Salt River Young Marines located on the Salt River Indian Reservation.
Our Battalion Motto:
"Pursue Perfection...Accept Excellence."

More information about our Program can be researched at our National Headquarters website, www.youngmarines.com.
The Young Marines of the Patriot Battalion excel in learning Leadership Skills for Life through a variety of planned activities that support community service, service to our nation's Veterans, public relations events, and recreational activitites. Regular weekly meetings generally include classroom time, drill practice and physical fitness training. Extracurricular activities include field trips, museum and public facility tours, encampments, field days, and sports activities.
In addition, many schools and patriotic organizations-- inlcuding many Veteran organizations-- throughout the State request the Color Guard, Flag Folding and Flag Retirement Ceremonies performed by our outstanding youth. During the first half of 2007, Patriot Battalion Units were asked to present the National Colors for Senator John McCain in Tempe for his Presidential Candidacy Announcement, while another of our units supported Congressman Jeff Flake at another location!
